  • Appearance: Whole, dried, round to oval seeds, yellowish-brown to light green in color.

  • Aroma & Flavor: Warm, citrusy, and slightly spicy characteristic coriander aroma.

  • Size & Uniformity: Medium to large size seeds, uniform color and shape.

  • Texture: Dry, firm, not shriveled.

  • Moisture Content:10% (to prevent mold and spoilage).

  • Foreign Matter: Free from stones, dirt, husks, stems, or insects.

Chemical Characteristics
  • Volatile Oil Content:0.3–1.0% (rich in linalool, which gives the aroma).

  • Ash Content:

    • Total Ash ≤ 7%

    • Acid-insoluble Ash ≤ 1.5%

  • Pesticide Residues: Within Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) of importing countries.

  • Aflatoxins & Heavy Metals: Must be within international safety standards (Codex/EU/ASTA).

  • Retail Packaging: 100 g – 1 kg laminated pouches or PET jars (whole or ground seeds).

  • Labeling: Must include product name, grade, net weight, batch/lot number, packing & expiry dates, country of origin, and certifications.
